The Big Chill

As I was staring outside the window and wishing to be in a particular place and time at that very moment, the image of the crowd that gathers to pay last respect to our dear Miss Laniog, played in my mind.

So, para medyo malibang at hindi pumasok sa isip ko ang kasalukuyang nagaganap, naghalungkat ako sa aking DVD collections to find something to watch.

Of all the movies I have in my library, a few of them stands out and have watched them many times when I'm at lost or perhaps just plain bored.

Ironically, one of the movies is "The Big Chill" which I find the different characters involved so interesting to watch. It's a story of eight old school friends, reunited after many years with the death of one. All of them are searching for something they've lost or didn't have...finding and realizing all that they needed was each other to fill that void.

The movie soundtrack draws me even more to its plot, with most of the songs all too familiar to my ear...and most probably to yours.

Surreal but the scene where every character's face was shown at their different emotions while the song "You can't always get what you want" by the Rolling Stones is playing in the background is something I've always loved.

It's basically reality staring you in the face...

...I felt some chills...

in this world,
we are all pilgrims,wanderers and
exiles.
heaven, the home of GOD is our true
home... our true country.
there GOD wants to share with us,
HIS unmeasured bliss.
for here we have no permanent city,
but we all seek for the city that is to come.
