The Debutantes

The PaperBox couple had their daughter Stephanie Gayle's 18th b-day so was Germie N's daughter MM, both in the same night.
While it's all fun and party for some, it is considered a very significant event in the lives of these young girls-turned women. It's a rite of passage, equivalent to the "Quinceanera" (15th bday) in some Spanish-speaking regions of Americas, in countries such as Puero Rico or Peru.
In the culture that we grew up, what marked the coming of age of girls is the debutante ball at the age of eighteen. For parents, it's a scary thought sometimes as they think this event will suddenly turn their little girl into a mature woman. That there's no stopping now of what these girl-turned-woman are capable of doing and can legally do, and the power they have within to do things their way.
Well not so fast young lady debutante!
Be reminded that this is also the day when you will be offered new responsibilities and opportunities. It's all up to you to take up on these newfound-power and use it to your advantage.
You may now have the power but lest we forget, power always comes with responsibilities. Without responsibilites, there is no power.
Congratulation debutantes!
