Sorry guys & gals! I was out for a while on a business/pleasure trip to San Diego, California. It's the annual GIS (Geographic Information System) User Conference, an event every GISer shouldn't miss. I attend the event every year. Parang Ramadan in the Muslim world. Punta sa Mecca to worship their gods. In the GIS world, it's that time to be geeks and freaks and to be with the flowers and the bees....JPG)

In case you didn't know, tho my background is Civil Engineering, my works revolves around geographic analysis, cartographic maps, spatial database etc. How I got involved in GIS was an accident. Back in 1988, I was bumming around Recto, without a job, just arrived from Riyadh Saudi, found this newspaper ads looking for GIS staff. Simple lang ang qualifications; degree holder, good math skills, and should be able to pass gazillion written exams and oral interviews. Nag-OJT sa Tokyo for 2 years learning this new technology..JPG)

To this date I still ask myself why I got involve in GIS. I have no regrets tho. I love to analyze geographic phenomenon. It drives me crazy sometimes pero it's a lot of fun..JPG)
