From Taiwan With Love

How can we ever forget those days in high school when we had so much fun considering the many activities we were involved in at that time... the dramafest , the dancefest, the singing contest, speechfest, etc. etc.

How about the poems like, "Adios, Patria, Adorada", "The Visit," to name a few? They will forever be embedded in our memories wherever we go, no matter how old we have become.

And of course, who would ever forget the only one person who made all these possible? Perhaps, you would all agree with me, it's no other than Sir ED, or Sir Villarante as he was fondly called.

The last time I saw him was at UST a long, long time ago when he was still the consultant of the computer center. We just chanced upon each other at the restaurant inside and we were both filled with joy, we didn't talk much. I still have his telephone number though which sometimes I try to dial but in vain.

Where is Sir Ed now? No one knows. But I'm sure he would be more than glad to know we are still here and hope to see him on that very special day where we could reminisce again those days we had had under his tutelage.

My hearfelt thanks for Sir Ed for all that he has done for me...for us. He was there with us then, now and always... in the recesses of our hearts and minds.

Lil, just recently I talked to my daughter about our high school days and how I wish they have someone like Mr. Villarante. What a coincidence! He really helped me build my self confidence. I was lucky to get the lead part in our play. I am encouraging my daughter to take Drama for her elective.

Mr Villarante is and was a good educator. His artistic skills and efforts in sharing them was well-received and appreciated.

di lang talaga ako nabigyan nang break! I could have been the "George Clooney of Pulilan" hehehe....

i think our reunion would be so much fun if we would recite some excerpts from the drama or whatever we remember we had in hs. if digna is there, which i'm sure she will be, she has to do an excerpt of her role as the wife of mario. Ang saya saya siguro! Imagine, nostalgic ang dating talaga!

it is late afternoon outside,
but in this room, time knows no hour
it is hello forever
never goodbye..
it is the holding of hands foreever and meeting of eyes...no i do not fear loosing your friendship because .. i have won your love...
how easily can anger warm the blood
but how more easily can love do that...to light up your eyes i only have to kindle your fingers with my hands and what lovelier fire is there than that behind the pink of your blush.
it is in your absense that i need your presence most that i sometimes
overlook the need, but as always as quite as often somebody is there who cannot forget...
this little lovely thoughts we treasured most, for what were then is a discovery now
why hearts never learn to grow old or why lovers having loved do not feel loveless forever.....

THE VISIT>>>>>> hey lil this is the only thing i can remember about thi poem.
