Our new house is still a work in progress. Of course, this old house will continue to exist and you are always welcome to stop by anytime. We've got lots of great memories here just like any other old house in Pulilan, if one still standing.
Well, time flies so fast Christmas is just around the corner once again!
And like always, I'm daydreaming amidst the winter chill of USA and the boring parties everywhere where lifeless greetings of a Happy Holidays, Happy Hanukka, Happy Kwanzaa and all that jazz ringing my ears.
Happy what???
My Christmas wish is that I'll be in a much more familiar confines of the tropical Philippines where images of people rushing to buy gifts even with limited budget... where kids with runny noses singing off-key with their fav carol songs...where every soul goes to church for Simbang Gabi and that steaming, hot tea & puto-bumbong...where in malls and local jeepneys and their stereos blaring Christmas songs so loudly...where everyone actually greets each other a Merry Christmas and not some generic happy whatever thingy...
...and where everyone seem acting so genuinely happy.
That's where I want to be...that's where I'd rather be...this Christmas...and every Christmas of my life.

Whether you love him or hate him, there is no question that George "W" Bush is one of the most controversial US public figures in recent memory. This movie released a couple of months ago chronicled his life and presidency for 8 years. It's a very interesting movie to say the least!
I’m not saying this for political reasons, mind you! There are no underlying agendas here...well...okay, apart from the fact that I admire George W. Bush. Hell he's no saviour but he's one smart, savvy politician. Yeah yeah, I am a Republican! :-)
Anyway....
There is another "W" I would like to blog about who emerged in my radar recently. There's nothing controversial about her but for those who were guided by her leadership, she's the epitome of someone who is willing to give her life in the most meaningful way no one can argue.
She is none other than Sister Wilma, the current principal of our Alma Mater, here seen with Mrs. E, another woman known for great passion in teaching and molding young generations to be the best they can be.
Eva sent me this picture with a short write-up that I can't honestly comprehend. Her words got lost in the midst of excitement after last Sunday's meeting with these 2 super women to talk more about the upcoming annual SDA reunion. Eva knows very little of "W" other than she's a very young enthralled woman with a tamed smile, whose mission in life is to serve the "Big Kahuna" above and the little tadpoles below.
On the other hand, Eva just learned "E", looking younger than ever, is now a full-time housewife to the delight of Sir "E", and a grandma to little tykes around the house. Yes, she is now retired from dealing with Pythagorean theorem and now spend more of her time with grandkids, if not with her superman Sir "E".
In the end, I somehow managed to understand what Eva was talking about in her write up. In her tangled words, we are lucky to have these two souls. "E" for guiding us older batches, and "W", for the younger generations of SDA.
Let's be thankful for their presence in our lives. After all, it's Thanksgiving holiday here in the US.
Saint Dominic Academy Alumni Class of 1978 & Pulilan Central School Alumni Class of 1974 held a successful grand reunion
last December 29th & 30th, 2007.
After such a wonderful event, Batch '78 will again be co-hosting the annual SDA reunion come December 2008.
Again, the class of 1978 is calling all its member to participate and be part of a tradition. It is a tradition that joins every alumni of our beloved alma mater in searching
for a common goal..
Many of us had a chance to experience that tradition last year and suffice it to say we enjoyed every minute of it just seeing old & new faces,
wandering the old campus, and once again feel like its more than a home...
...it's our sanctuary!
Please try not to miss it this time because if you do, you'll regret it the rest of your lives...
