We all know what it's like losing someone you love. Just remember you are always surrounded with friends and family that can comfort you during this time.
This video was taken during our mini-reunion at Shangri-la Hotel on Dec 27th, 2007. Noel A and family hosted this event. Lil took the video...listen to her commentaries...
Of course you all know who this woman next to me is......(that's my ex...ex-classmates...hehehe)...our valedictorian!
I was really happy to see her last reunion that I had to make sure we have picture together before the night ends. I grab my camera the moment I saw her and took this shot. I didn't even bother to ask anyone to do it for us...I did it myself! Now, it's no secret I was once smitten by her during our junior year. ;-)
Oh well no surprises there that I was attracted to her beauty & brain...it's always been my weakness! ...ask our salutotorian :-))
Anyway, Lisa or Luisa is now an active participant, commenter of this blogsite. Much of I know about her are good ol' stories from high school. We didn't really get a chance to catch up and talk about our lives after high school. All I know is that she's now Mrs. Udarbe and that's about it.
Perhaps next time I see her, we'll get to spend more time talking about love, life, family and what not!
BTW, I hope Lisa's hub don't mind seeing us in this picture...otherwise, i have another reason not to go back to Pulilan anymore...hahaha
Hope to see you again soon, Maria Luisa Salvador-Udarbe!
Is it just me or there are more guys out there starting to feel a growing distaste for Balentyms Day? It feels like this day is geared towards women only! There's so much pressure involve mostly felt by men. I wonder if women feels the same way to come up with something special for their men....hmmmnnn....
Honestly, I feel like this day is very consumer-oriented and a shallow interpretation of romance day. Very manipulative!
oh well darling...hapi balentyms day anyway! Here's your gift...where is mine?
As I tell my officemates and friends about the unusual trip I made last December (unusual in the sense that they pretty much know that my annual trip back to the island always happens around Lenten season), someone asked: What's your best memory of high school?
I really had to think about the question.
Mostly I remember going to school early everyday and sit quietly under the mango tree. I really find solitude and comfort when i'm alone wandering about the days that gone by and the days to come.
I've always been a wanderer...and a dreamer!
I thought I was a loner...a misfit...an outcast. What do you think?
Anyway, my best memory of high school was when I was announced an honoree in our Religion class in freshman year. I really didn't expect getting an award, more so in a subject as religious as that ;-) I remember Marcial E got the top honor, Lilia S next, and i'm the third.
Mom was so proud of me that instead of wearing the required normal school uniform during awards day, she had me wear a brand new pair of pants & polo-shirt. Ako lang ang hindi naka-uniform!
Well, it looks like that award was a fluke! hehehe... It didn't get any better after that if you know what i mean ;-)
During Zen's unexpected trip back to Pulilan last month, fortunately she was able to join the group to visit the Bethany House Sto, Nino Orphanage, located in Guguinto Bulacan.
They brought kids some goodies of rice and eggs, and in return the kids shared back great moments of playful time and sweet smiles.
It's just one of the many things we can do to make the world a better place for people less fortunate, most especially kids like shown on the picture.
A suggestion was made for us to do more trips like that in the future. For those classmates working abroad and planning to make their trip back to our homeland for a well-deserve vacation, why don't we make it part of our itineraries to do side-trips to places like that?
Saint Dominic Academy Alumni Class of 1978 & Pulilan Central School Alumni Class of 1974 held a successful grand reunion
last December 29th & 30th, 2007.
After such a wonderful event, Batch '78 will again be co-hosting the annual SDA reunion come December 2008.
Again, the class of 1978 is calling all its member to participate and be part of a tradition. It is a tradition that joins every alumni of our beloved alma mater in searching
for a common goal..
Many of us had a chance to experience that tradition last year and suffice it to say we enjoyed every minute of it just seeing old & new faces,
wandering the old campus, and once again feel like its more than a home...
...it's our sanctuary!
Please try not to miss it this time because if you do, you'll regret it the rest of your lives...
