2007: Our Year
However you want to put it,
aren't you glad this year is almost over and a new one is beginning?Though we've always experienced the
usual drama in our native political arena, and also our country being no stranger to the
caprice of nature, with typhoons, floods, and volcanic activities challenging all of us, not to mention
personal tragedies each one of us might have experienced, hitting every fiber of our souls,
we still remain standing, fighting and not giving up at all to challenges we all are facing in our daily existence.
2006 is still a great year...don't you think so? This coming new year bring lots of excitements and anticipations more than ever.
However, we still have chance to cherish
what's left of 2006...redeem what we thought we've lost in the process of making our lives better, fulfill our dreams, renew our hope, but
keep the same faith alive.
Less than a year from now we will all be responding to the
summons of friendship, love, and camaraderie. Reunite, rekindle, re-visit our long lost relationship...another chance to bring back the good 'ol days.
This will all be our year... so let's not waste it!
There is Santa Claus After All!
I can't help but smile when my daughter asked me
again to mail out a letter addressed to North Pole a few weeks ago!

The first time she tried writing him 3 years ago, someone actually replied to her with 2 boxes of toys and
a letter from Santa.
Up until to this day, my wife & I don't know who really sent those gift boxes. What I learned though is that there's actually groups of kind-hearted people spending time & money during Christmas season responding to letters like
my daughter sent.
So, there's really Santa after all!Merry Christmas everyone!........cheers!
Conversation with God
I remember during high school we spent time every morning hour
"conversing" with God thru prayers be it in school ground, inside the classroom, or in the church next door.
I was reading the newspaper one early morning when I found myself staring at an article about a movie being made. The title of the movie looks familiar! It is based on a book I've read about 4 or 5 years ago.
"Conversation with God" by Neale Donald Walsch.
It's a 3-series book but I only read the first 2 as I find the 3rd one a bit tad boring for my desire. Even part of the 2nd one is quite beyond my shallow understanding.
The 1st one however,Uncommon Dialgoue (Book 1) is highly recommended...
by yours truly! And yes, I had "Conversation with God".
I really think it did change my life...somewhat! Some say it's a great book, but some say it's
too controversial...
Some say it's
evil...some say it's even
blasphemous...
But for me it is more
thought-provoking, more
amusing and interesting than anything else.
I don't agree with everything the author wrote but it's something to think about.
Read it for yourself....
I heard the movie isn't that appealing for many avid readers of the book.
Because You're Someone Special!

While visiting Connie B with Eva F & Marcy D, Connie happily showed us her scrap books filled with so many
good memories of our high school. What caught my attention the most were the old greeting cards, christmas et al.
I was in that nostalgic mode browsing all the cards and reading some of the notes,
love notes even, some of you have written to her...
...ehem...ehem...
I found this Christmas card I gave her in 1976...
that's 30 years ago my dear klasmeyts! That was so sweet of Connie to still have them after all these years.
I can't wait to see more of that. I hope the other ladies have them still.
I don't expect guys to have kept theirs, otherwise I might think of them differently...
so un-manly I supposed!...hahaha....
Not that there's anything wrong with that! ;-)
I know for a fact that I've given some of you ladies cards and perhaps
a few love notes and what not, to
someone special...wink...wink!Actually, why not bring them with you when you attend the coming reunion?
Kung sino man ang may pinaka-
oldest memorabilia, be it from elementary or high school days will get a special prize.
