Fun Fund

I was told that the announcement banner are now on display by the SDA compound and fliers being disseminated all over town to officially announce our grand reunion.

Now, the bigger issue ay yung funds na kailangan para maging successful ang ating reunion. To solicit funds is always a sticky issue to begin with, dahil di lahat tayo ay may kakayahang magbigay at yung iba naman ay talagang kuripot magbigay...hahaha... joke lang po!...to each his own ika nga!

Actually, wala naman tayong set amount for individuals to give. Kung magkano lang ang "feel" n'yo na ibigay, although expectations might be higher from klasmeyts who are obviously doing well financially, especially those living/working abroad. I myself expect them to be a little bit more generous...but that's just me folks!

Of course mas maraming collections mas ok. Like I mentioned before, sana we can start thinking about a project that will have a bigger social impact...not just to parteeeeey.

Kung pwede nga lang, every year, each of us who can afford will give a certain amount na i-deposit sa bank account natin para by the time na may na-isip tayong project, pwede na nating gawin with the funds established.

I really wish everyone of us will get involve...in your own little way, kahit barya lang! It will be an ALL alumni effort. There's no "I" in "Alumni" di ba? Ay meron pala! :-)

Seriously, my dream/vision is to have a local public library under our name..."PCS Batch 74 / SDA Batch 78 Bahay-Aklatan"...low-maintenance, everybody ay pwedeng mag-benefit. I always believe kasi sa availability nang resources for research, education, and awareness, especially for the kids.

Imagine kids walking into our library, all smiles with bright eyes, wondering what books they can read, or perhaps what movie they'll be watching, and what snacks they will eat. The only rule is "Ang hindi magbasa, walang meryenda". Pwede rin na may storyteller volunteers. Kids will be around you listening to the story of the day. Any of us can do the storytelling. :-)

Klasmeyts, that's a lot of fun if you could imagine it...but of course, only if we have funds.

the bank ask for separate entity to name the account as "BATCH 74/78". 'Though i was able to get open an account, it was under me and clarita's name. okay lang ba yun sa inyo until we can put up our own name? we need to make a coop or something para maging solo talaga. PNB Juan Luna Binondo Branch- SA 236-502769-5/CA 236-810434-8. I am appointing Ogie as the auditor.

Sige I can use a few dollars for that kind of work.

Sabi nga nila it's time to give back sa lahat ng mga blessings natin. I also believe that the more we give to those who are less fortunate amongst us,the more we will receive.

Let's start the ball rolling and see how far we could go with it.

just to clarify eva: ano ba ang full name n'yo dun sa account, so that when someone try to write a check, we are clear whom do we make it payable to....?

also, may preference ba tayo kung aling type of account ang gagamitin for remittance? SA or CA?

The account name goes "MINERVA G FAJARDO &/or CLARITA R BERNARDO" you should deposit to the Savings account always para may interest. Check is for disbursement lang. instruction for remittance should go like this: PHILIPPINE NATIONAL BANK JUAN LUNA BRANCH 409 JUAN LUNA ST BINONDO MANILA PHILIPPINES SWIFT CODE: PNB MPHMM ROUTING NUMBER: NEW YORK 02 600 3007 then for credit to account number 236-502769-5 account name Minerva... as in above.

Library? What a brilliant idea! Sana matupad! Thank you Eva and Claire for opening the account. Egay, I think you should be the first to deposit kasi you are very willing. It doesn't have to be much basta buena mano lang suwerte daw yung ganon. Let me know how you did it and I'll follow through. Is it possible to make it tax deductible? Anything to reduce our taxes. He, he, he!
