Maño y Maño
They're like the Blues Brothers...Joey & Dominic. Pero mag-pinsan lang sila!I last saw Joey when my father passed away and I had to go back to our hometown barely a week or so after I just had my vacation there. I was so glad and appreciative to see both him and Lito V, they were at my father's funeral. We hooked up a few days later for drinks with some of our classmates before I went back to the US.
Joey was and is always been a leader. I admire his leadership skills, his initiative, his unpretentious way of dealing with situations...very animated...
very vocal...very opinionated.
Dominic. What can i say? The "Don Juan deMarco" of our batch. Damn good-looking just like his cousin but more dangerous...no offense Joey. :-) Women fall for him...and not just because of his pretty face. He's got good character too! Sa pagkaka-kilala ko sa kanya, he's reliable, honest, daring, adventurous. Medyo mayabang "daw" ang dating. I think because of his oozing confidence. But he's cool! Where is he anyway? I heard he's in the US too!
They are the Maño's.... nephews of the more famous aunt, our dreaded principal in grade school. Oh i'm sure some of you remember her!

Hmmmm,who would forget Ms. Mano who scared the '$%#&' out of me and everybody else. Pag dumadating sya napapatakbo ang lahat ng estudyante.Minsan nga naaalala ko pa si Dominic yata un, di na nakaiwas at nakasalubong si Ms Mano na Tita nya kaya nagpretend na lang sya na namumulot ng basura sa daanan,hahaha. Just imagine sariling pamangkin takot din eh ung ibang estudyante pa kaya.Teka may ibang kuwento pa nga na pag napadala ka sa opis of d principal pagbubunutin ka ng sahig, waaaaah.
At eto pa, pati mga titser natin takot din sa kanya, grabeh talaga! Ang sabi nila kasi daw ,tumandang, dalaga, totoo ba un? Kung totoo iba talaga ang nagagawa ng pag-ibig, hehe. Basta ako kahit may pusong bakal eh natutunaw din pag nakatagpo ang lab na lab ko (may kasamang kilig pa un,hehe).
I remember Mrs Mano, too. Di ba kaya wala tayong formal graduation nung elementary? Wala tuloy akong picture nung elem graduation natin. Sayang, di sana complete yung scrapbook ko ngayon.
I've had my own encounter with her kaya hindi ko s'ya makalimutan. whew!

speaking of the two manos, joey and dominic, you have a very exact description of them. sayang nga, they have every potential to be successful kaso nga nag asawa agad ng wala sa oras. o baka nman successful naman sila? i wish them the best though. where are they now? esp. dominic and cymbie?
i know Joey is doing well, blessed with wonderful kids. If i remember correctly, dalawa ang anak n'ya now both in college or baka graduate na nang nursing.
for dominic, i heard nasa US sya...pero hindi ko alam kung saan. wala akong contact info.
